Dr. Horrible’s Sing-Along Blog, in the words of its creator, Joss Whedon, is the musical story of "a low-rent super-villain, the hero who keeps beating him up, and the cute girl from the laundromat he’s too shy to talk to." In other words, it's a three act supervillain musical comedy that was initially distributed solely through the internet. It was a result of the WGA writers' strike in 2008.

DR HORRIBLE AT THE EMMYS

For those who watched the 2009 Emmy Awards, you would have seen, live, the transmission dubbed the "Interceptorizor" which interrupted the show. A feat of this kind could only have been engineered by Dr. Horrible! You can watch the video here.

Dr. Horrible's Sing-Along Blog also won "a precious Emmy" for Outstanding Special Class - Short-format Live-Action Entertainment Programs. Congratulations!

DR HORRIBLE SEQUEL

Exciting news! Joss Whedon has revealed that there are plans for a sequel to Dr. Horrible's Sing-Along Blog! It hasn't been decided what format the sequel will take: another web series or even a full length feature film is being considered.
